Juba, Sue and Kinyeti Hydropower Stations
The total installed capacity of three power stations Juba、Sue and Kinyeti is 120 MW, contract amount of 8.98 million U.S. dollars and YREC is the consulting and designing unit of those projects. These projects are the first batch of major projects in the peace agreement to investment in the South Part which fulfilled by Sudan central government. Those stations mainly focus on changing the serious water and power shortage situation in local area, supplying the cheap and clean electricity, improving local living level. The signing of contract symbolized YREC’s solid step to expanding our international market.
Rehabilitation and Modernization of GEZIRA Scheme Irrigation Canals Network
As the largest farmland irrigation project in Sudan at present, GEZIRA irrigation network was built in 1925. The whole irrigation network consists of all kinds of canals about 10,000 kilometers long. As a driving force and pillar for maintaining and developing the local economy, the irrigation network has been playing an important role in increasing people’s income and ensuring national food safety.
YREC undertakes the redesigning work for Rehabilitation and Modernization of GEZIRA Scheme Irrigation Canals Network. Including designing a canal system and an accurate water distribution system; repair, design and modernize the water conservancy facilities and their operation.
Signing the Cooperation Framework Agreement with Sudan SEDIC Company
To further enhance YREC’s market share of engineering design and consulting in Sudan and neighboring countries, through research and investigations YREC signed the Cooperation Framework Agreement with Sudan Engineering and Digital Information Center(SEDIC), the largest surveying, designing and consulting company of road and bridge in Sudan. The Cooperation Framework Agreement laid the foundation for YREC’s in-depth development in Sudan and neighboring countries.
