Postdoctoral Programme

The YREC Postdoctoral Programme was set up in December, 2003 under the permit by Ministry of Personnel, one of which is the first passel in the national water resources system. YREC is also one of the first passel of units founding the Postdoctoral Programme in the national water resources system. Since founded on April, 2004, there have been more than 30 Doctors from 18 higher institutions (such as Tsinghua University, etc.) applying to join the Programme for their postdoctoral research. There have been five postdoctors in the Programme, which has associated with Sichuan University, Beijing Normal University, Hehai University, and Tsinghua University to train the postdoctoral research staff. Support by the strong power of YREC, the Programme will build the platform to absorb scientific research and administration talents of high levels for YREC, aiming at serving the YR and cultivating the core competitive power of YREC, so as to strengthen the scientific innovation and developing ability of YREC.

Main Research Areas: Research on Technique for Damming in High-altitude and Cold Frozen-soil District; Research on Lining Means for High-pressure Tunnel; Research on Analysis Measures for Complicated Structural Dynamics; Research on Automatization Design for Hydraulic Project; Research on Safety Evaluation Standard and Risk Evaluation Method for Hydraulic Project; Research on Analogue Simulation and Analysis Decision Method for Earth-rock Dam; Optimization for Arch Dam Build; Analysis on Structural Dynamostatics for Tower Post (Non-linear); Research on Durability for Face Rochfill Dam; Shock-and-wear-resist Material; Crack Seepage Problem, etc.

Henan Province City Water Resources Environment Engineering Technique Research Center

Presently, there are 10 senior engineers, 3 intermediate engineers, and 14 primary engineers, of whom 6 have Master-higher degrees, within the professional fields as Urban Planning, Water Resources, and Environment, in the Henan Province City Water Resources Environment Engineering Technique Research Center. Technically backed by the YRCC Postdoctoral Scientific Research Programme, this Center has established the Academic Committee consisting of specialists headed by Academicians to give instructions, with strong scientific research and technique power.

This Center has seven research areas, as Techniques for Utilization and Protection of Urban Water Resources, Techniques for Urban Water Resources Protection and Ecological Rehabilitation, Techniques for Treatment of Urban Sewage and Industrial Wastewater, Techniques for Ecological Safety of Urban Water System, Techniques for Ecological Treatment of Urban Hydraulic Engineering; Urban Hydraulic Economy, and Urban Water Landscape and Water Culture Construction.
