For over 50 years, YREC’s mission is devoting to the long term safety of the Yellow River and sustainable social economic development. We have prepared hundreds of comprehensive and special plans oriented to harnessing and developing the Yellow River, and successfully designed more than 30 large and middle-sized reservoir projects which have been built on the mainstream and tributaries of the Yellow River. These efforts have made great contributions to flood protection, water resources management and hydropower development in the Yellow River basin. Meanwhile we stick to our business policy that based on the Yellow River and also oriented to all parts of the country and the globe. YREC actively involved in domestic and international market competitions, our market space gradually expanded and economic strength markedly increased.

After long-term development, YREC is authorized the Grade A comprehensive qualification institute for engineering design by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development; aid-foreign engineering reconnaissance and design agency appointed by Ministry of Commerce; established the only postdoctoral work station of river basin authorities approved by the Ministry of Personnel; and authorized the national high-tech enterprise. Those credits demonstrate YREC’s comprehensive strength in capability, achievement, reputation and technical condition.
